Updated 5/8/2020 – More to come

Late last night we received the following advice from the Australian Dental Association. We will provide further updates today as we organise the changes this will bring to our Practice over the Stage 4 restrictions.

‘The ADAVB met with DHHS and DHSV today to update on the current situation in Victoria. This follows ongoing consultations with the Chief Health Officer and Health Minister since the Victorian Government’s State of Disaster announcement on Sunday. Under the new government restrictions across Victoria, dental services will continue to operate, and people will be allowed to visit the dentist for necessary dental care, including if their dentist is more than 5km away. We have been working closely with the ADA Infection Control Committee to review and revise the dental restrictions guidelines, taking into account new evidence that is constantly emerging. The ADAVB has provided the following recommendations today to help dental practices undertake risk assessments:Metropolitan Melbourne – Level 3 dental restrictions from Friday 7 August 2020. Please refer to link below for further detail.Regional Victoria – Level 2 dental restrictions from Friday 7 August 2020. Please refer to link below for information about active cases in your area.We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves and will communicate this as soon as possible. We understand the current situation has created significant concern and uncertainty – we are all in this together and we will get through it together.More detail about recommendations: https://adavb.org/news-media/covid-19-update-to-dental-restrictions-in-melbourne-and-regional-victoria
